watch here to see iota (short video):
—Now spectral loop selecting is done in the lemur, just swipe down from the top of the screen to see the waveform!
—When you click a loop box, an option for a no-slope filter is available (really cuts out the selected frequencies)
—Also when you click a loop box, macros appear on the left-side menu parameters for another way of parameter changes.
—Now you can select from 3 window types: triangle, slope up and slope down for each individual voice.
—Instantaneous spectral analysis thanks to jitter and image rendering is 6 times faster.
—Many UI, design and bug eliminating improvements.
*DEFINITELY READ the instructions in the zip
(very simple setup and intuitive interface.... but you will be lost with no knowledge)
iota is a granulator in which each voice's parameters are customized. The layout is open and centers around the spectral analysis of the waveform. Drop in samples or record live audio (it is an audio effect). You can create up to 48 voices, and it runs very efficiently (low CPU!). This is connected via OSC to a max patch, so there is very little setup. Description of all features are in the read me, definitely read it as some things are hidden/obscure. This layout is almost 100% canvas.
**(forgot in the "read me"): touch top or bottom right corners to resize loops
Inspired by izotope's works and Borderlands granulator. Many thanks to cycling 74 & lemur community
