How and why we collect and process your personal data account

Registering with allows you to access services related to your Liine product. This includes manual and installer downloads as well as access to the Liine discussion forums. You will be requested to provide an email address and a password to allow Liine to manage your account. When posting in the discussion forums, Liine may also record your IP address.

Direct Marketing

If you choose to subscribe to our mailing list, Liine will ask for your name and e-mail address so that we can send you Liine news. This might include general information about Liine products, as well as important information about updates and fixes. We might also send you artist stories, tips and tricks and information about events. We consider it to be in Liine’s legitimate interest to keep you informed about Liine’s products and activities.


If you contact Liine, either through our support form or by e-mailing us, your personal data, including your name and e-mail address, will be used in order to communicate with you and to process your enquiries and requests.

Legal obligations

It is possible that Liine will process your personal data in order to comply with legal obligations.


Who receives your personal data 

We won’t sell or trade your personal data!

Liine shares personal data only with processors who process your personal data on Liine’s behalf. When doing so Liine will always ensure that relevant data protection agreements are in place to ensure that your personal data is safe and will only be processed for our intended purpose. When legally obliged to do so, Liine may also share your personal information with public authorities. Whenever Liine transfers your personal data out of the EEA, Liine will ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

For how long does Liine store your personal data? 

Personal data which has been collected in order to register an account on will be stored for as long as the account is active. If you choose to close down your account, all data relating to your account will be erased. Liine will store your name and e-mail address for the purpose of direct marketing until you withdraw your consent. If you do so, we will immediately erase your data from the list.

Your rights

You have a number of rights concerning the processing of your personal data. For example, under GDPR you can, under certain circumstances, request to:

  •  be informed of how your personal data is being used by Liine and its processors;
  •  access personal data that Liine has about you;
  •  ask Liine to correct inaccurate personal data;

Withdrawal of consent

Liine processes personal data based on your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time. This will, however, not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the consent was withdrawn.
