iConnectMIDI (iOS only)

iConnectMIDI2+

By default, ports 1.3 and 2.3 on iConnectMIDI2+ are routed together. Use the following ports in Lemur settings screen:

  • MIDI Target 0
  • Input: iCM2 USB 1.3
  • Output: iCM2 USB 1.3

Note — If you have Lemur Daemon running on the computer, you will actually see the iConnect MIDI ports listed twice in Lemur's MIDI Target drop-down menu. Once for the ports exposed to the computer, and once for the ports exposed to the iPad. Notice that each list is identified. Use the ports exposed to the iPad.

On the computer, you can then use the following ports:

  • Input: iConnectMIDI2+ (iCM2 USB 2.3)
  • Output: iConnectMIDI2+ (iCM2 USB 2.3)

You can also check with iConfig to make sure the ports are properly routed inside the iConnect MIDI device.

iConnectMIDI4+

This unit is very powerful, and this flexibility comes with a certain degree of complexity. Each USB jack on the unit provides 16 distinct MIDI port (and of course each MIDI port has 16 MIDI channels).

A typical use-case with Lemur would involve plugging your iPad into USB1 (the left-most USB plug on the front of the unit) and plugging your laptop into USB3 (on the back of the unit).

You then need to use iConfig to make sure that at least one port from USB1 and USB3 are talking to each other:

  • Open iConfig
  • Go to Port Routing / USB Device Jack 3 / iCM4 USB 3.1
  • Enable destination USB Device Jack 1 / 1
  • Go to Port Routing / USB Device Jack 3 / iCM4 USB 1.1
  • Enable destination USB Device Jack 3 / 1

You can now use the following ports in Lemur settings:

  • MIDI Target 0
  • Input: iCM4 USB 1.1
  • Output: iCM4 USB 1.1

On the computer, you can then use the following ports:

  • Input: iConnectMIDI4+ (iCM4 USB 3.1)
  • Output: iConnectMIDI4+ (iCM2 USB 3.1)
